Day 1, Monday, 1 OCT
Today you will depart Australia, flying to Cairo, to commence this exciting Egyptian Hightlights Tour.

Day 2, Tuesday, 2 OCT
Upon arrival at Cairo, your travel coordinator will meet and greet you inside the airport, prior to passport control checking point and will finalize all arrival formalities. You will then be transferred to your hotel, where you will spend the next 2 nights. The rest of the day will be at leisure until your Group Welcome Dinner this evening.

Day 3, Wednesday, 3 OCT
After breakfast today you will take an unforgettable tour of the great Pyramids of Giza. The only present day survivors of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, they are among the world’s greatest tourist attractions and never lose their ability to inspire and overwhelm visitors, (including entrance to the 2nd Pyramid). You will then venture to Sakkara, the oldest Ancient Egyptian cemetery. It lies on a desert plateau, southwest of Cairo. Above rises the Step-Pyramid and mortuary compound, built by the engineer lmhotep for King Zoser. This evening sail on a Felucca as you enjoy dinner and an unforgettable view across the Nile.

Day 4, Thursday, 4 OCT
After breakfast you will be transferred to Cairo Airport to catch a domestic flight to Luxor. Upon arrival to Luxor you will be transferred to your Nile River cruise where you will be able to rest and refresh before lunch. You will then enjoy a half day tour to Karnak Temple, built over a period of two millennia by generations of Pharaohs, the 62-acre Temple of Karnak was dedicated to the God Amun with numerous pylons, obelisks and smaller temples within. You will then visit the magnificent Temple of Luxor, once connected to Karnak via the Avenue of Human-headed Sphinxes, almost 3 kilometres in length.

Day 5, Friday, 5 OCT 
After breakfast onboard you will start the day at the West Bank of Luxor to explore the Valley of the Kings, a vast City of the Dead where magnificent tombs were carved into the desert rocks, decorated richly, and filled with treasures for the after life by generations of Pharaohs. Then rising out of the desert plain in a series of terraces, you will discover Hatshepsut Temple. The Temple of Queen Hatshepsut (Ancient Egypt’s only female Pharaoh) merges with the sheer limestone cliffs that surround it, as if nature herself had built this extraordinary monument. On the way back to the River Nile, your road passes by the famed Colossi of Memnon, known in Ancient Greek times for their haunting voices at dawn. You will then return to your cruise where you will sail to Edfu via Esna and enjoy lunch on board. Unwind in the afternoon with afternoon tea, a welcome reception cocktail and dinner on-board.

Day 6, Saturday, 6 OCT
This morning, after breakfast explore the largest and most completely preserved Pharaonic – albeit Greek-built – temple in Egypt, the extraordinary Temple of Horus at Edfu. You'll then enjoy lunch onboard while sailing to Kom Ombo to visit ancient Kom Ombo Temple. Dedicated to the crocodile-god Sobek, the temple stands at a bend in the Nile where in ancient times sacred crocodiles basked in the sun on the riverbank. Take in the beautiful views with afternoon tea onboard as you sail to Aswan. Tonight after dinner, join in the festive fun with a Galabeya Party onboard.

Day 7, Sunday, 7 OCT
Today you will take to the road to visit the Temples of Abu Simbel. The two temples of Ramses II at Abu Simbel are each fronted by colossal statues up to 20 metres high, and are famed as the most impressive monuments remaining of Ancient Egypt in modern times. Recently the temples were threatened by the waters of Lake Nasser, and with the help of a UNESCO campaign they were cut into blocks, raised piece-by-piece, and reassembled in a new position higher up the hillside. You will then return to Aswan for lunch and dinner onboard your cruise.

 Day 8, Monday, 8 OCT
After breakfast, you will say goodbye to the Nile as you disembark your ship. You will then take a short motorboat ride to visit the romantic and majestic Philae Temple on the Island of Agilika. This afternoon, your Egyptologist guide will escort you to visit the Aswan High Dam, Egypt’s contemporary example of building on a monumental scale.

Day 9, Tuesday, 9 OCT

Day 10, Wednesday, 10 OCT

Day 11, Thursday, 11 OCT
Today will see you on a full day tour of Citadel & Muhammed Ali Mosque. You'll spend time in a fascinating maze of little streets, filled with numerous old monuments and mosques from Cairo's Islamic past. Saladin's Citadel, the impressive 19th century Mosque of Muhammed Ali, and the oldest university in the world, are some of its more notable sights. You'll then have the chance to explore the fascinating Khan El-Khalili Bazaar – the largest bazaar in the Middle East. Originally founded as a watering stop for caravanserai in the 14th century, the bazaar has now grown to vast proportions. Through the narrow streets, you will find workshops and stalls selling all manner of things from woodwork, glassware and leather goods to perfumes, fabrics and Pharaonic curiosities. This evening enjoy one last evening in Egypt as you enjoy your exclusive Group Farewell Dinner. Take in the beauty of the pyramids as you enjoy dinner under a tent at the Pyramids area with a live show of Arabian dancing show, traditional Fire Eaters and traditional band.
