Arrives 07:00 – Departs 17: 00 Adelaide is the capital and most populous city of the Australian state of South Australia, and is the fifth largest city in Australia, with a population of over 1.1 million. Adelaide was laid out in a square mile grid of wide streets with gracious colonial architecture. It is compact city making it easy walking and surrounded it with 930 hectares of parklands. The pleasant climate is perfect for leisure hours on its beaches, the Torrens River and at sidewalk cafes. It has an active cultural lifestyle with many galleries, museums, churches, sidewalk cafes, cosy pubs and elegant restaurants. The central markets feature 48 cultures in a unique atmosphere that has survived 125 years. The main shopping precinct is Rundle Mall with department stores, boutiques, speciality shops and malls. Suburban shopping precincts such as King William Road and North Terrace are also popular and fashionable. The 1920s Adelaide railway station is an attractive casino and a historic tram takes visitors out to Glenelg beach with its own lively shops, restaurants and grand hotel. Further afield are the wine regions of the Barossa and Clare Valleys which are great for day trips.

Straddling the breathtaking Derwent River, Australia’s deepest harbour, Hobart is one of the most beautiful areas in both Tasmania, with nearby Mount Wellington dominating the city in the background. The city of Hobart was founded in 1803 and has numerous heritage areas close to the city centre. There are many museums and galleries which provide interesting information on Hobart’s history. Some of the most popular landmarks in the Hobart area include the Tasman Bridge, Government House, the Port Arthur Historic Site, Richmond Bridge – one of the oldest stone bridges in the whole of Australia and Hobart’s St. David’s Other world-class Hobart attractions include Derwent River, the Cadbury-Schweppes Chocolate Constitution Dock, Old Hobart Town Model Village, Bicentennial Park, the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens and Salamanca Market – a lively flea market held in Hobart’s Salamanca district, which attracts more than 10,000 bargain hunters each week. Hobart regularly features many exciting festivals and events, including the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race, a spectacular race which finishes at Hobart’s waterfront at the end of each year in Hobart.

Arrives 08:00 – Departs 17:00 Burnie is a port city on the north-west coast of Tasmania, originally settled in 1827 as Emu Bay. It now Emu Bay, on the north-west coast. This proudly industrial city is Australia’s fifth largest container port and a vibrant place to visit. Burnie unveils a wealth of unexpected places to visitors with a few hours up their sleeve or a day or two to set aside. There is spectacular scenery around Burnie with some beautiful waterfalls, including the Guide Falls. For views of the area head to the Fern Glade and Roundhill Lookouts. As well as admiring the views, nature lovers should also visit the Burnie Park and the Emu Valley Rhododendron Gardens.

What is the cancellation procedure? / Can I cancel or make changes to my booking? If for any reason you need to cancel your booking, contact the MyDiscoveries Reservations team on 1300 404 606. Once we have received your verbal request for cancellation we will ask you to confirm the request in writing (email or post is fine) so that we can accurately start processing the cancellation. Make sure you include your travel voucher number and traveller names when requesting and confirming the cancellation. Please be aware that the travel operator may impose cancellation fees. In addition, MyDiscoveries will charge a AUD $100 per person cancellation fee for cancellations outside our 30 Day Booking Guarantee period.
How do I book shore excursions? This depends on the cruise line. Bookings for shore excursions can only be made once your cruise has been paid in full and the cruise line has opened up the booking capability in their system (typically this is around 6 months before departure).
Can I take alcohol on my cruise? This depends on the cruise line, however, the in most instances the answer is no.

How do I take advantage of the 5 monthly payments plan? At time of booking online, you should be able to select our 5 monthly instalment plan as a payment option. If booking over the phone, please mention you wish to pay in 5 monthly payments and our team will ensure this is set up. This is a free of charge service that allows you to pay off your holiday in 5 equal payments. How does it work? Pay only 1/5th of the total of your Holiday at time of booking. Your remaining 4 payments will be taken automatically from the same credit card on the same day of the next 4 months. Easy!
